I get an urgent phone call and am summonsed to an office. Someone isn’t happy…

It’s a travesty, a travesty so huge that they are FUMING. I get it.

But I say “you had been consulted about x, y and z” …. “no I hadn’t” … hmmn I thought. I actually know you were consulted by one of the team. But I’ll roll with this and see where it goes. They are angry and I get the feeling that this is a personal affront to them. I smile and try not to look dead behind the eyes. It doesn’t go anywhere actually.

Blah blah blah, I return to my office and check. Turns out this person had been consulted, my team had done their job and this person was just plain lying to my face. Do they think that we don’t talk to each other?
