This move is for real

It’s been over two months since my last post. Perhaps the recently mentioned house selling/buying (read “weeping into my hands”), social life kick start and a new job took it’s toll more than I imagined. It didn’t help that I went on holiday and we had a hectic 6 weeks at work, then some people (including myself) ended up in hospital. What a crazy time we’re all having.

I started playing Hockey, a sport from my youth – which was also the cause of the trip to A&E. It’s a pretty brutal game, and my nose took a stick to the face. This was my attempt to start socialising more widely and I think I’ve certainly made a name for myself! A week before my best friend also ended up in A&E, I was there with my aunt that same weekend, then the week after it was my turn.

All those trips to the hospital… it’s starting to feel like I have settled in, the last two months have been a real blur, I think in a good way mostly. But I haven’t had moment to reflect.

Only now is the day job becoming slightly less hectic, and that itself brings many things. Like trying to get to the bottom of the to-do list, reflecting on what we’ve achieved so far, and what the hell are we going to do next.

Time for an evening of reflection soon.
