Waking up on the wrong foot forward

Now I love a mixed metaphor – my favourite is ‘Splash the Boat out’, but today’s title is more than just a mixed metaphor.

Life IS hectic. I know that, you know that. But there’s something about being busy at work, and coming home to a house in chaos that can really tire me out. We’re in the depths of the first stage of renovation, and there’s rooms crammed full of furniture, piles of clothes, towels and cutlery all covered in a fine dust. It gets boring quickly.

But that’s not what I came here to whinge about, it was just that feeling that I “woke up in a bad mood”. I think i went to sleep in a bad mood, but really I didn’t have a reason to be grumpy. It just sort of happened, and I think I am now getting over this inexplicable bad mood. Why does this occasionally happen?

I’m going to put on some tunes now to blast the negativity out of my brain.
