Since of these things have been mentioned previously.

1. Two star hotels
2. The lack of toilet paper
3. The smells – the chemical/traffic fumes smells in particular

8 things we didn’t expect in Japan

1. For them to drive on the left
2. Smoking – everyone smoking
3. Picture menus
4. The amount of slot machine arcades
5. There are no women, well not in public.
6. The volume of tat. Especially animal kitsch, on everything.
7. The scale of the country and how vast the cities are
8. Limited Wi-Fi and internet cafes see non existent.

5 things we do not like about Japan

1. Lack of fruit and veg
2. No one asked for a photo of Linz (she’s 6ft 1 and tons of fun)
3. Small rooms, especially the tiny bathrooms
4. Hot toilet seats and random flushing noises
5. Single ply toilet paper

5 things we liked about Japan

1. How friendly and helpful everyone is
2. Food (see other list)
3. Transport – ease and speed and the JR pass.
4. Ridiculous English translations (also in China).
5. Positivity in general
